Stewarding Your Gifts and Passions

Sometimes, Musical Perfection is the furthest thing on our minds when we enter into worship, but there is an important element regarding Musical Expertise as stewards of the House of God, and that is (1) Bringing out very best to the Lord, and (2) Expertise enables freedom in form, leading to better function while on duty. In other words, you're not distracted by what you're playing.  This is what I've personally found out, hence the reason I practice technique, and grow in skill, so I can better serve. Once you're at that place where playing becomes second nature, you're not thinking, you're doing!
